I den h\u00e4r artikeln f\u00f6rklarar vi hur en bromsassistent fungerar och vilka f\u00f6rdelar den har f\u00f6r trafiks\u00e4kerheten.<\/p>\n<h2>Vilken funktion har en bromsassistent?<\/h2>\n<p>Bromsassistenten utvecklades ursprungligen av <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.se\/reservdelar\/mercedes-benz\/\">Mercedes-Benz<\/a> och introducerades 1996 som standardutrustning i S-Klass (W140) och SL (R129). F\u00f6rkortningen BAS \u00e4r ett registrerat varum\u00e4rke som tillh\u00f6r Daimler AG.<\/p>\n<p>Systemet utvecklades efter omfattande analyser av ett stort antal p\u00e5k\u00f6rningsolyckor bakifr\u00e5n. Resultaten visade att de vanligaste orsakerna var f\u00f6r kort avst\u00e5nd till framf\u00f6rvarande fordon och en hastighet som inte var anpassad till trafiksituationen. Samtidigt kunde man konstatera att m\u00e5nga f\u00f6rare bromsar f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsiktigt n\u00e4r en n\u00f6dsituation uppst\u00e5r.<\/p>\n<p>Analyserna visade att f\u00f6rarna i de unders\u00f6kta olyckorna inte utnyttjade bilens fulla bromskapacitet. Mercedes-Benz egna tester visade att bromsstr\u00e4ckan fr\u00e5n 100 km\/h i genomsnitt uppgick till cirka 70 meter, trots att f\u00f6rarna uppgav att de hade bromsat s\u00e5 h\u00e5rt de kunde. M\u00e4tningarna visade dock att bromskraften i m\u00e5nga fall var s\u00e5 l\u00e5g att ABS-systemet aldrig aktiverades.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5nga f\u00f6rare tvekar helt enkelt att trycka tillr\u00e4ckligt h\u00e5rt p\u00e5 bromspedalen i en n\u00f6dsituation. Man uppskattar att ungef\u00e4r en tredjedel av alla bilf\u00f6rare inte utnyttjar bilens maximala bromsf\u00f6rm\u00e5ga vid en panikbromsning. Det var just dessa insikter som l\u00e5g till grund f\u00f6r utvecklingen av bromsassistenten. Systemet identifierar en n\u00f6dbromsning och hj\u00e4lper f\u00f6raren att uppn\u00e5 maximal bromskraft, vilket kan f\u00f6rkorta bromsstr\u00e4ckan avsev\u00e4rt. Systemet registrerar \u00e4ven hur snabbt f\u00f6raren flyttar foten fr\u00e5n gaspedalen till bromspedalen. Med hj\u00e4lp av dessa data kan BAS avg\u00f6ra om det r\u00f6r sig om en n\u00f6dbromsning. Informationen kompletteras dessutom med signaler fr\u00e5n andra system, exempelvis ABS.<\/p>\n<p>Om du snabbt sl\u00e4pper gaspedalen och n\u00e4stan omedelbart b\u00f6rjar bromsa tolkar BAS detta som en n\u00f6dsituation. Om bromspedalen inte trampas ned tillr\u00e4ckligt h\u00e5rt \u00f6kar systemet automatiskt bromstrycket via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.se\/produkter\/bromsservon-11404\/\">bromsservo<\/a>. Bromstrycket h\u00f6js tills ABS aktiveras, vilket inneb\u00e4r att bromsassistenten ser till att den maximala bromskraften utnyttjas under en n\u00f6dbromsning.<\/p>\n<p>Bromstrycket \u00f6kas automatiskt oberoende av hur h\u00e5rt du sj\u00e4lv trycker p\u00e5 bromspedalen. F\u00f6rst n\u00e4r du minskar trycket p\u00e5 pedalen s\u00e4nker \u00e4ven bromsassistenten bromstrycket till den niv\u00e5 som motsvarar pedalens aktuella l\u00e4ge.<\/p>\n<p>Den f\u00f6rsta generationens BAS, som introducerades 1996, reagerar inte p\u00e5 trafiksituationen i sig utan p\u00e5 f\u00f6rarens agerande. F\u00f6rst med BAS Plus, som presenterades 2005, blev systemet kapabelt att reagera mer sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndigt p\u00e5 omgivningen.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes introducerade den vidareutvecklade bromsassistenten BAS Plus i S-Klass (W221) \u00e5r 2005. BAS Plus \u00e4r en f\u00f6rutseende bromsassistent som ger \u00e4nnu b\u00e4ttre st\u00f6d i kritiska trafiksituationer. Systemet anv\u00e4nder samma radarteknik som Mercedes Distronic. Radarsensorn m\u00e4ter kontinuerligt avst\u00e5ndet till framf\u00f6rvarande fordon och varnar f\u00f6raren med b\u00e5de visuella och akustiska signaler om avst\u00e5ndet blir f\u00f6r kort. Samtidigt ber\u00e4knar BAS Plus fortl\u00f6pande hur mycket bromskraft som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r att undvika eller minska konsekvenserna av en eventuell p\u00e5k\u00f6rning bakifr\u00e5n.<\/p>\n<h2>Kombination av BAS med andra s\u00e4kerhetssystem<\/h2>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz forts\u00e4tter att utveckla bromsassistenten BAS och integrerar den med andra s\u00e4kerhetssystem, bland annat Mercedes Pre-Safe. N\u00e4r BAS Plus identifierar en kritisk situation aktiveras flera f\u00f6rebyggande skyddsfunktioner. Exempelvis st\u00e4lls ryggst\u00f6den automatiskt i en mer uppr\u00e4tt position f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerhetsb\u00e4ltena ska ge b\u00e4sta m\u00f6jliga skydd, samtidigt som takluckan st\u00e4ngs om den \u00e4r \u00f6ppen.<\/p>\n<p>Enligt Mercedes suddar dessa system ut gr\u00e4nsen mellan aktiv och passiv s\u00e4kerhet genom att b\u00e5de f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka f\u00f6rhindra en olycka och samtidigt f\u00f6rbereda bilen och de \u00e5kande om en kollision \u00e4nd\u00e5 skulle intr\u00e4ffa. Trots detta betonar tillverkaren att inte ens den mest avancerade bromsassistenten kan upph\u00e4va fysikens lagar. K\u00f6r du med f\u00f6r kort avst\u00e5nd och f\u00f6r h\u00f6g hastighet kan systemet inte alltid f\u00f6rhindra en olycka.<\/p>\n<p>Den 24 november 2009 blev bromsassistent obligatorisk som standardutrustning i nya personbilar och l\u00e4tta transportfordon inom EU.
