Faktum \u00e4r att behovet av sm\u00f6rjning \u00e4r l\u00e4gre \u00e4n i motorn, men det finns fortfarande. Om v\u00e4xell\u00e5dan \u00e4r helt t\u00e4t sl\u00e4pps inte heller fukt in i sm\u00f6rjmedlet. Av dessa sk\u00e4l kan man t\u00e4nka sig att ett byte av denna olja aldrig skulle bli n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigt \u2013 men experter delar inte den uppfattningen.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1707\" data-end=\"1757\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Vaxelladsolja_aldras_%E2%80%93_smorjformagan_forsamras\"><\/span>V\u00e4xell\u00e5dsolja \u00e5ldras \u2013 sm\u00f6rjf\u00f6rm\u00e5gan f\u00f6rs\u00e4mras<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"2691\">\u00c4ven denna olja genomg\u00e5r en typ av slitage, dels genom naturlig \u00e5ldringsprocess, men ocks\u00e5 p\u00e5 grund av skjuvkrafter i v\u00e4xell\u00e5dan. De ingreppande kugghjulen \u201cmaler\u201d p\u00e5 s\u00e4tt och vis de l\u00e5ngkedjiga molekylerna i moderna syntetiska sm\u00f6rjmedel, vilket f\u00e5r oljans viskositet att minska (bli tunnare). M\u00e5nga tillverkare anger inga specifika riktlinjer; i s\u00e5dana fall b\u00f6r bytet ske senast vid 80 000 km. Speciellt i nyare modeller anv\u00e4nds ofta s\u00e5 kallad \u201clifetime-gear oil\u201d. Som namnet antyder beh\u00f6ver denna olja inte bytas under fordonets hela livsl\u00e4ngd. H\u00e4r b\u00f6r man dock notera att tillverkarna ofta r\u00e4knar med en bils livstid till cirka 8\u201312 \u00e5r, beroende p\u00e5 kategori. Men m\u00e5nga anv\u00e4nder sina bilar l\u00e4ngre \u00e4n s\u00e5 \u2014 n\u00e4r den perioden \u00e4r passerad och bilen fortfarande \u00e4r i bruk, \u00e4r det definitivt l\u00e4ge att byta sm\u00f6rjmedel.
